Hey there Muffin

A lot of requests coming in for the link to the NH Chronicle/WMUR story. Big BIG thanks to Cindy, John, Dylan, Mary-Paige, and anyone/everyone else behind the scenes to make it happen. Cheers, thanks!Another busy day of proverbial ass kicking and attempting greatness. Today started around 6:30am (I'm trying to stay somewhat on an east coast time zone in my head so that when I'm in NH for 2.25 days and then immediately off to Europe, I can at least sort of not be completely head-fooked. I can try anyway...) with a piping hot French Press of Guy's Blend from my dear friends at Napa Valley Coffee Roasting Co. It's called Guy's Blend and I'm a guy so you know it's made practically just for me.

...or any other guy out there. Or gal.Truly Doug and his crew have been fantastic to meet and their coffee is some of the best I've ever had. So needless to say, my day started out on the right foot with some Guy's Blend, which was followed immediately with some homemade Pearapple Muffins. I've never had a pearapple until coming to Napa, but there's a local fruit and veg stand that I have to ride by each day on the return to home base. And for like $0.43 I buy myself a melon sized fruit called the pearapple. I came home with two the other day, immediately demolished one, but thought that my next morning would be best suited with the rich aroma of apple bread, or even better pearapple muffins.I peeled, diced, and cooked the pearapple the night before - last night as it turns out - so that I had a homemade pearapple sauce, which is the nucleus to any fine pearapple bread. Next, jumpstart to this morning, I whipped up a batch from scratch, jogged while they baked, took them out of the oven, and jogged a bit more. (Yes, I jog. Go take a page out of my brotherfromanothermother Ben King's book. No relation to me, but we share the same last name and the ability to look really really good in stars and stripes since he's the current national champion AND he tweets that he runs in the off season. Chapeau young King!)

I won't bore you with further details about today except that these muffins were divine, and that's not a common word affiliated with muffins. And that my ride was excellent.
